We've been working towards our installation for Sculpture by the Sea for some time, and one of the more interesting things about this work that differs from most of our previous works - is that we custom created all the prints ourselves and had them sublimation printed with our mates at Sublitech in Sydney.
Although our design process is almost entirely digital, it's been really important to us to maintain the touch of the artist's hand, so we've deliberately kept a warm, hand drawn feel with the entire work. It's a delightful trick to the eye, we hope that from a distance it will look very aquatic, but up closer you'll see the bold scribbly fun designs!
Here's a little video of Maurice Goldberg showing how its done, and some of the prints we've been developing. Stay tune for the real thing in just a few weeks!
